Planning

Throughout Totora we plan collabrative to get the most out of our students. We meet weekly in order to discuss planning and what is working or not working.
It is important in this time to honestly talk through issues or successes so we can move our students in the right direction.

My responsibility specifically has been Maths for the last two terms. While I plan the warm up and station activities for everybody we are individually in charge of group plans. Because I am incharge of Maths, reading and writing plans are done by Steph/Olivia and Caitlin specifically and Phil is in charge of Homework. We jointly look at and plan at Inquiry.

For me planning in this way allows us all not to double up or reinvent the wheel. While at times we need to adjust activities to suit our own hub or class the plans give us freedom to do this. Because we plan like this it is important we are accountable for our plans and have everything prepared for those that need it. For this we aim to have everything planned for the week before Monday at 8am.
